Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a permanent resident of Canada
- Must have been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days within the 5 years before applying
- Must have filed income taxes for at least 3 years within the 5-year period
- Must demonstrate adequate English or French language skills (ages 18–54)
- Must pass the Canadian citizenship knowledge test (ages 18–54)
- Must not have a criminal prohibition or be under a removal order
